Northeast Division Bounty Hunter
Program
Bounty Hunter Program
For 2002, the Northeast Division will continue with the Bounty Hunter Program. This
year the Bounty will include the seven (7) Lucas Oil Sportsman Drag Racing Series Events. The
Bounty has already been placed on the Division Champion from 2001 in their respective categories.
Future bounties will be placed on the event winner of their respective
category from the previous event. The Bounty in each category is identified by a bullseye sticker placed
on his or her car. Whoever defeats the Bounty will collect a $100 Check from one
of the Sponsors of the Program. If the champion does not attend, the
bounty will be placed on the runner-up of either the division or the
previous race. If neither attends, there will be NO payout and the
monies will not carry over. When the bounty wins the event, the
payout will rollover and $100 will be added for the next event. In
the event of a rainout situation, where no winner is crowned, the bounty
at the next event will be placed on the points leader coming into that
event.
The 1999 Federal-Mogul
Drag Racing Series event at US 13 Dragway was the first to feature the program.
Eight sponsors support the Bounty Hunter program, ATI
