Filling out a tech card

It may seem like a mundane task, but filling out a tech card is very important.  This small card controls the race for you.  It sets your eliminator and maybe your class, which determines what you need for passing technical inspection.  Then it goes to the tower, where the information is  entered into the computer system not only to provide announcer information, but also to control points and the whole racing environment, not to mention payout.

Many Tech cards come to the tower with only a couple items missing.   Please try to complete the card in its entirety.  Fill in all the spaces, and make it legible.  At divisional events, the tech line would move much more quickly if racers filled in the names of various pieces of equipment and applicable spec numbers.   A complete tech card needs only to be reviewed and signed by the tech inspector.   If a card is incomplete, the inspector has to fill in all the blanks and ask questions.

  If you are unsure about how to complete your tech card, ask a member of the Northeast Division Certification Team to review it with you.  There is time during each event to help you with this process.  A few minutes spent going over this could help save everyone many hours waiting in long lines.

Remote Chassis Inspection

Many people have asked repeatedly who to call for remote chassis inspection appointments. Here is a list of Northeast Division chassis inspectors.  These people are willing to help, but remember that this is not a full-time job for them and they have to work around job and family obligations.  There will be a charge in addition to the sticker charge for chassis inspections done by private appointment.
